Disney is known for billion-dollar franchises and record-breaking hits, but not every release becomes a success story. Since 2011, several high-profile Disney films have arrived with big budgets and major expectations, only to struggle at the box office. Here are nine Disney movies that failed to meet commercial expectations.
John Carter (2012)
Disney hoped John Carter would launch a major science-fiction franchise. Instead, the film became one of the studio’s most famous box-office disappointments.
